What are the methods of payment?

We accept cash App, cheque, internet banking, Visa, MasterCard, Q Card, Farmers Card, Zelle, gift card and Cerebral Palsy ‘Get This & That’ vouchers.

When ordering online you can pay using your credit card, online banking or you can collect from our store.

We are registered suppliers to many government agencies including ACC, Accessable, Enable and Work And Income when funding is applicable. As part of being a Work And Income supplier and are happy to provide quotes for Work And Income or other community grants (refer sections below).

How we can help?

With New Zealand’s public health system under increasing financial pressure, waiting times and criteria for funding of equipment are also increasing. More and more kiwi’s are opting to purchase their own equipment which can provide greater choice as well as faster implementation of solutions. The challenge of buying your own equipment can often be determining the best products to suit your own unique situation. This is where the Mobility Centre team shine, we are trained and experienced consultants who will work with you to assist in your decision making. Our team also work closely with health professionals such as occupational therapists and can offer in-home assessments to help you determine the best way to manage your own situation.

Are the community grants available?

Most of our scooters and electric wheelchairs qualify for grants funding. We are happy to help you check your eligibility and apply for grants funding. For individuals who have been approved a community grant or a grant by Lottery Individuals with Disabilities (often referred to as Lottery Grants) we can advise and provide you with a mobility scooter that will best meet your needs.

It’s important to trial the scooter or wheelchair of your choice at your residence which we are happy to arrange for you free of charge in regions where we have a store.If you need to arrange an occupational therapy assessment we can organise this for you too.

Can we get WINZ quotes?

We are a registered supplier for Work and Income (WINZ) and we provide fully detailed WINZ quotes for purchase and rental of equipment which individuals can then take to their next WINZ appointment for approval. Please just let us know if you require this, and we will happily assist.

How to get refunds & use warranty?

We provide a warranty on all products sold by us, whether it is a ‘new’ or ‘used’ item. We also offer a 14 days returns policy on the purchase of ‘new’ products with some exclusions. We cannot refund on bathroom or toilet products for hygiene reasons.

We import some of our products directly from the manufacturer to ensure the best value for our customers. Our quality assured wholesalers include Invacare, Pride Mobility, Cubro Rehab and Ebos Healthcare and we supply proven brands such as K Care, Roho, Viking, Jazzy and Policare.

Do I have to take insurance for my scooter?

There is no need to take out a vehicle policy for your mobility scooter. You can simply include it in your contents policy. Just be sure to call your insurer and let them know you’ve purchased a scooter and you will be covered.

Do I need to get AA membership?

We encourage our mobility scooter customers to become members of the Automobile Association’s Get Home Safely Programme. All our new Invacare and CTM scooters come with a free 3 year membership to this service.

Being a member gives you peace of mind that you will be looked after should anything happen while you’re out and about on your scooter no matter what day of the week or time of day. If you would like more information on this service please click here.
